First login

TracefyHR has one login page for the whole team — HR, Managers, and Employees all use the same form. The system figures out which kind of account you have and sends you to the right place.

How the unified login works

Type your email and password and click Sign In. Behind the scenes:

1. TracefyHR checks if your email belongs to an HR or Manager account first.
2. If it doesn't, it falls through to Employee accounts.
3. Whichever match wins, you land on /portal — the same workspace for everyone, with role-aware menus.

You never have to think about "which login do I use?" — it's the same form regardless.

First-time employees: change your temporary password

When HR adds you to TracefyHR, you get an onboarding email with a temporary password. Use it once, then set your own.

   Open the email titled "Welcome to TracefyHR". Copy the password.

   Go to your workspace login page (in the email) and paste the temporary password along with your work email. Click Sign In.

   You'll see a Set a new password screen. Pick a strong password (at least 8 characters, mix of letters and numbers). Confirm it, then click Save password.

   You're in. The first time you log in, a short tour highlights the parts of the portal you'll use most.

I can't log in — what now?

Try these in order:

• Forgot password? Click the link below the form. TracefyHR emails you a reset code that works for both User and Employee accounts.
• Check your spam folder for the onboarding or reset email — sometimes it lands there.
• Make sure you're on the right workspace. If your company uses a tenant subdomain (e.g. acme.tracefyhr.com) but you visited the apex tracefyhr.com/login, your account still resolves — but the branding will be generic.
• Onboarding email older than 48 hours? Use Forgot password? on the login page. If you've never set a password, TracefyHR detects that automatically and emails you a fresh temporary password — no need to bother your HR.
